Siegburg Library

Since 2018, the Siegburg library has relied on the various software solutions provided by Tracs Systems. The goal of the library was to have the entire technical offering managed, if possible, by one company in order to keep the organization and coordination as efficient as possible. Tracs Systems offers various modules to suit the library's requirements.

The library uses Time Tracs to manage PC workstations. It is an administration and reservation software that allows easy management of the PC environment.
Registered patrons and guests can also use the PC offerings. PC spaces can be reserved by the user or by staff using a customer or guest card. The print and copy station can also be activated via the customer card or guest ticket. Before the end of a PC session, the user is informed in a timely manner. After the end of the session, the PC is reinitialized so that no session data is saved.
The statistics module enables a clear evaluation of the use of public workstations and the printing and copying processes. Overall, the application speaks for itself, both for customers and staff.

In addition to the software mentioned above, the library uses Pay Tracs to manage revenue from library fees and store sales. When purchasing the pay machine, the library chose a wall-mounted model from Tracs Systems. The machine can be used to pay all library fees and recharge patron cards with credit for printing and copying. At the same time, guests can purchase guest tickets at the machines for use of the PC workstations and the print and copy station. In the store, all visitors can select and checkout the items offered there. The vending machine offers cash and EC payments. Operation of the machine is easy for staff and customers.

Since mid-year, the library has been using the interface to the municipal financial software Axians Infoma, successfully developed together with Tracs Systems. This interface allows automated evaluation of collections with direct assignment of revenues to defined general ledger accounts.
